Who I Work With
About Me . . .
My experiences have taught me the importance of a safe, respectful, and trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients. My personal journey and diverse life experiences enhance my outlook on the therapeutic process by offering nonjudgmental perspectives by avoiding moral conclusions. I focus on generating hope and building on personal strengths to foster change and individual growth.
Innately, I am someone who respects and appreciates clients. I enjoy helping clients join in examining what they value and want in their lives. As we know, life is full of choices and it is important to work together to provide an insight for lasting change and offer new perspectives on life’s opportunities.
My Emphasis . . .
Realizing the need for a therapist is a brave first step on the path to healing. Knowing this is a courageous and sometimes scary endeavor. I will provide a warm and empathetic approach to create a safe and confidential working alliance so we may address difficult and often very private issues.
My Values . . .
I provide as many benefits of therapy as I can - while incorporating and honoring the client’s spiritual and/or a deep sense of aliveness and interconnectedness. Naturally, the client’s sense of purpose will change throughout life. The therapeutic process should incorporate the client’s own experiences to maintain their sense of purpose.
My Treatment Approaches
• Bio-psychosocial-spiritual model of care
• Family Systems
• Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy
• Motivational Interviewing
• Relational-Cultural Therapy
• Solution Focused Brief Therapy
