Who I Work  With

About Me . . .

It is vital for us as humans to be interactional and connected to others. At the same time, being interactional and connected to others can be challenging especially when we experience a distressing amount of misunderstanding. My practice is focused on helping children, adults, and families to identify their strengths that can be utilized to improve communication with others in a way that more understanding is experienced. In doing so, new and more effective patterns of communication are developed to foster deeper and meaningful relationships.

My Emphasis . . .

I take a strengths-based, collaborative approach in my work with clients. The models of therapy I use considers individuals unique experiences and their strengths that can be resourceful in determining solutions to clients’ problems.

My Unique Qualifications . . .

I have a significant amount of experience working with children (ages 6-11) and their parents on their parent-child relationship with challenges such as parenting, blended family adjustment, anxiety, depression, and stress management. I had six months of experience working with children in the San Bernardino Unified School District providing individual and grief group therapy. I also have experience working with both adolescents, young adults, and older adults challenged by anxiety, depression, work-related stress, and adjusting to change or life transitions.

My Values . . .

Fully engaging in therapy involves vulnerability; therefore, I find it significant for our therapeutic relationship to be built on safety, trust, and open-mindedness.  It is my goal to remain curious, collaborative, and mindful of ethnocultural factors throughout our time together in pursuit of achieving your goals for therapy.

My Treatment Approach

Solution focused brief therapy (SFBT)

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Experiential/Gestalt Therapy
