Who I Work With
About Me . . .
I am a Christian and Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years in the mental health field in multiple capacities. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Kaplan University, a Master of Arts in Psychology at Kaplan University, and a Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. I am dedicated to assisting those in search for purpose and meaning and finding alternative methods to progress and succeed when life changes occur. I enjoy working and building relationships and find that as people we all have a deep desire to engage each other in meaningful ways. Life has a way of interjecting itself, creating a need to adjust from time to time. My hope is to be a person that can walk side by side with those seeking counseling in a safe environment and allow individuals to explore life from a mental health perspective, the known and unknown, and begin making decisions that are impactful and insightful to one’s well-being.
My Emphasis . . .
I have had extensive training with at-risk youth and adolescents as well as with adults and individuals struggling with addiction. In addition, I have experience working with families, couples, and individuals with a variety of diagnoses and presenting problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma, to name a few. I am passionate about ensuring the counseling experience is positive, impactful, and progressive.
My Values . . .
It is important to me that once the journey begins, it is understood that this is a collaborative effort and I am here to explore life changes, new beginnings, grief/loss, transitions, feelings of stagnation and/or any mental health/life concerns that surface with my clients. I pride myself on having a "whatever it takes" holistic approach, integrating multiple therapeutic modalities catered to the needs of the client. Seeking mental health can be a challenging experience, and I want to provide a professional, respectful, and safe environment for clients to engage in discovery from a mental health perspective.
